QuickBooks POS Error 176109: Invalid Product Code or Number | Fix

There are 3 possible reasons you're encountering the Quickbooks Pos Invalid Product number error 176109 and they are as follows
- The POS Entitlement folder contains compromised files.
- An incorrect product code has been used to install QuickBooks Desktop POS.
- You're not logged in to Windows as an admin
- You're using QuickBooks POS on a desktop. Quickbooks encounter this issue when your computer shuts down unexpectedly regularly
To fix this issue, follow the steps below
Solution 1. Delete entitlement folder
Option 1 (Automatic)
- Download the Clear Entitlement File tool.
- Unzip the file to your desktop.
- Double-click to run the file.
- Re-launch QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and complete the registration.
Note: You can delete the Clear entitlement v8.bat file as well as the Clear_entitlement_v8.zip files.
Option 2 (Automatic)
In this step, you'll need to unhide the Entitlement Client folder which is found inside the Program Data folder.
- On your keyboard, press the Windows key ⊞ + E, to open Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to C:\Program Data\Intuit\Entitlement Client\v8.
- Press Ctrl + A on your keyboard to select all the files in the folder, then press Delete.
- Select Yes to confirm the action.
- Re-launch QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale and complete the registration.
If the issue isn't resolved, Send a WhatsApp message to +1 (315) 284-1484 to verify the correct validation code is being used.
Solution 2. Uninstall Quickbooks Enterprise
Please not that if you have quickbooks enterprise installed, you may need to uninstall it
- Uninstall QuickBooks Enterprise (any version)
- Restart your computer
- Install QuickBooks Point Of Sales
- Install Quickbooks Enterprise
Solution 3. Rename the WSActivity file
- On your keyboard, press the Windows key ⊞ + E, to open Windows Explorer.
- Navigate to C:\Program Data\Intuit\QuickBooks Point of Sale XX\Ini.
- Right-click WSActivity and select Rename.
- Enter “OLDWSActivity” and click anywhere to save.
- Close the window, then follow Solution 1 to delete the contents of the entitlement client folder again.
- Relaunch QuickBooks Desktop Point of Sale.
Solution 4. Install Quickbooks Point Of Sales On A Laptop
This solution might seem unexpected but QuickBooks works perfectly when there is an uninterrupted power supply.
